Founded in 2004 by Mark Barber and his late father, Ken Barber, Barbers Fine Homes was built on a commitment to quality construction, thoughtful planning, and long-term value. Ken always emphasized to Mark the importance of customer service and the bar was set high. That same bar has remained the standard to this day.
From the beginning, the company focused on custom homes and high-end residential projects throughout MetroWest, earning a reputation for craftsmanship, transparency, and local expertise.
Today, Barbers Fine Homes continues that legacy, combining deep construction knowledge with a clear, client-focused process to deliver homes that are both beautifully designed and built to last.

Mark Barber brings over 25 years of experience in custom home building and residential construction throughout MetroWest. As a founder of Barbers Fine Homes, Mark has led the design and construction of custom homes, as well as major renovations including kitchens, finished basements, additions, and full- scale residential projects.
In addition to his construction background, Mark is the founder of Barber Real Estate Company, giving him a unique advantage in land acquisition, zoning, permitting, and development strategy.
A longtime MetroWest resident, Mark knows how to identify buildable opportunities, anticipate challenges early, and protect the long-term value of each project, ensuring clients make smart decisions from day one.

Sean Abely now joins Barbers Fine Homes, bringing decades of hands-on experience in custom home construction, renovations, and project management. Sean’s career spans both commercial and residential construction, with extensive work on ground-up custom homes, major renovations, and additions throughout MetroWest, including Natick and Wellesley.
In addition to building homes, Sean previously led a building supply company working with hundreds of builders, giving him unmatched insight into construction methods, materials, supplier relationships, and execution. Today, he applies that experience to delivering custom homes and renovations with precision, efficiency, and craftsmanship—ensuring every detail is built right.
